The Evolution of Standards-Based Cryptography
RSA and ECC public key standards, which are foundational to today’s internet security, are vulnerable to threats from quantum computing. Post-quantum cryptography algorithms like Crystals-Kyber, Crystals-Dilithium, Sphincs+ and Falcon can run on classical computer hardware found in devices we use today and do not require a quantum computer. In 2022, NIST announced the standardization of these algorithms.
