Want to learn more about the Urban Solar Garden?  Our second Public Information Session will build off the discussion and feedback from our first event in July, and will cover:

*   The City of New Westminster’s vision for an Urban Solar Garden.

*   Identification of potential City locations to host the solar array.

*   Recent developments in PV technology and examples of community solar projects in BC.

*   Indicative per-panel pricing, typical per-panel solar production, and investment payback details.

Want to Pre-subscribe to the Urban Solar Garden?

Pre-subscriptions to the Urban Solar Garden will open at the end of the Public Information Session, and customers with a New Westminster Electric Utility account will have the opportunity to reserve their spot in the Urban Solar Garden via monetary deposit. Subscriptions will be sold on a per panel basis, with a limit of 10 panels per subscriber. Subscriptions to the garden are limited and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

In order to measure the interest in this initiative within New Westminster, 75% of the Urban Solar Garden needs to be pre-subscribed by Friday, November 17th, for the project to move forward.

Subscription details, including deposit amount required, are currently being finalized, so please expect an update on this prior to the Public Information Session, via email and on energysavenewwest.ca.
